Facundo Calvo
Policy Analyst, Trade and Agriculture
Facundo Calvo is Agricultural Policy Analyst at the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) in Geneva, Switzerland. He writes regularly on agricultural trade policies, WTO agriculture negotiations, and sustainable trade in food and agriculture.
Prior to joining IISD, Facundo worked for the Permanent Mission of a developing country to the World Trade Organisation (WTO). He was involved in the agricultural trade negotiations at the WTO Committee on Agriculture in Special Session (CoASS) and the monitoring of agricultural trade policies under the WTO Committee on Agriculture (CoA).
Facundo holds an LL.M. in WTO Law & Policy (IELPO) from the University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in international Economic Relations from the Latin American School of Social Sciences (FLACSO).
